AmeriCorps
 AmeriCorps engages more than 40,000 Americans in
intensive, results-driven service each year. Working
with Habitat for Humanity to build safer homes is just
one of many areas where members serve. Members work 40
hours per week for an eleven- month term of service and
receive a nominal living stipend. After their term of
service, AmeriCorps members receive education awards to
help finance or repay college loans.
