Sponsorship & Volunteer Opportunities
Provide funding to build a new Habitat home in partnership with a hardworking family, sponsor and community volunteers, and our Construction Team. Perfect for organizations that want to transform a neighborhood and work side-by-side with a Habitat partner family.
Build A Home Sponsorships range from $8,000 to $85,000. Development staff will work with each Build A Home Sponsor to apply their sponsorship funds as allocated. Click here for a description of the sponsorship funding levels.
Build A Home Sponsorships offer groups the opportunity to provide their volunteers with a unique teambuilding experience for one to 12 days (up to 288 volunteer slots) on the house they sponsor. The number of days is dependent upon the level of sponsorship and the construction schedule for that home.
Our Development Team will work with Build A Home Sponsors to determine their desire to volunteer on the build site and will schedule volunteer days according to their funding level. Sponsors do not have to provide volunteers. Trinity Habitat also has many “non-sponsor” volunteer groups that want to help build, but do not have the resources to provide funding.
The typical work schedule is 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break (September – May).
In the summer, the work schedule is 7:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m., with a 10:30 a.m. snack break (June – August).
There is a maximum of 24 construction volunteers per shift.
Volunteer Age Limits:
- 12 – 15 Years of Age may paint only. Not allowed on site during regular construction days.
- 16 – 17 Years of Age may do all construction activities, except work on a roof and use power tools. Must be accompanied by an adult (4 youth to 1 adult ratio) and sign a Youth Liability Waiver with parent or guardian signature.
- 18+ Years of Age may do all that does not require a license.
New Habitat homes take 1 – 4 months to complete, depending upon the build schedule and weather.
Trinity Habitat builds homes year round.
Where We Build
Trinity Habitat builds homes in various cities throughout Johnson, Parker, Tarrant and Wise Counties. In early 2015, we began focusing our efforts in our Fort Worth partner neighborhoods: the Hillside Morningside, Carver Heights East and Como neighborhoods of Fort Worth, as well as in Cleburne, Mansfield and Weatherford.
