Build a Home Sponsorship

Provide the funding to build a new Habitat home and then from the build schedule and funding level, choose the number of days your group would like to volunteer in helping to build the home. Perfect for organizations who want to transform a neighborhood and work side by side with a Habitat homebuyer.

Funding
Build a Home Sponsors range from $1,000 to $76,000. Trinity Habitat staff will work with each House Sponsor to apply your funds according to your desire.

Scheduling Options
Build a Home Sponsorships offer groups the opportunity to provide their volunteers with
a unique team-building experience for one day up to 12 (up to 345 volunteer slots) days on the house they sponsor. The number of days depends on the level of sponsorship and construction schedule.

The Development Department will work with groups to determine their desire and need for number of volunteer days within the funding level. Sponsors do NOT have to provide
volunteers. Trinity Habitat has many “non-sponsor” volunteer groups who simply want
to help build, but do not have the resources to provide funding.

Workday Guidelines
The typical work schedule is 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. with a 30-min. lunch break.
There are a maximum of 26 volunteers per shift.
Volunteer Age Limits

• 12 – 15 May landscape and paint only. Not allowed on site during regular construction days.
• 16 & 17 May do all except work on roof and use power tools. Must be accompanied by an adult (7 youth to 1 adult ratio) and sign a youth waiver with parent or guardian signature.
• 18+ May do all that does not require a license

Home Construction Duration
New Habitat homes will take 1 – 4 months depending on the build schedule and weather.

Where
Trinity Habitat builds homes in various cities throughout Johnson, Parker, Tarrant, and Wise Counties.

Calendar
Trinity Habitat breaks the year up into two halves –

• Building on the Dream (BOTD) campaign in the Spring – building between February - May.
• Building On Faith (BOF) campaign in the Fall – building between September -December.
