Donations to the ReStore

By donating your surplus building materials to the ReStore, you can support many goals at once:

• Help the environment Keep good, reusable materials out of the landfills.
• Help a family and a neighborhood All funds raised by the ReStore go directly toward building more houses for low-income families in Fort Worth. Your donation can help a family achieve its goal of homeownership and help revitalize a neighborhood.
• Help other homeowners For many families, finding affordable materials to maintain their homes can be difficult at times. With a large supply of used materials in good condition, the ReStore provides a place for homeowners under any budget.

The ReStore accepts most reusable building materials. Unfortunately, we cannot accept the following items: appliances that are not in working condition (or those that are older than 10 years); mangled or rotten lumber; very small amounts of lumber; mattresses; quarts of paint; opened, spoiled, unusable or very old paint; glass and mirrors; any chemicals. If you have any questions about acceptable materials, please call us at 817-626-5000.

Donations can be brought to the ReStore any time during store hours (Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). If your donation is too large for your car or truck, give us a call at 817-626-5000 and we'll place you on our pickup list.

All donations are tax-deductible. (Habitat for Humanity is a 501 C (3) non-profit organization.) An itemized donation receipt will be provided; however, we cannot place any valuations on your materials.

The ReStore is also active in the deconstruction of homes. ReStore staff and volunteers can remove reusable materials and bring them back to our store. You save on demolition and removal costs while receiving a tax-deduction. Call 817-626-5000 for more information.
