ReStore Donations
- Provide cash flow to help build more houses.
- Divert valuable used goods from unnecessarily being thrown away.
- Provide all income levels with a low cost home-improvement shopping alternative.
- Tax write off! Businesses and individuals receive tax deductions for merchandise when donated (Always check with the IRS!). Many times the write-off of the company’s basis in the merchandise exceeds what they would have received by dumping the merchandise in a parking lot sale or selling to a liquidator.

Habitat ReStores are retail outlets where used and new building materials are sold at a fraction of normal prices. Proceeds from the stores help Habitat's mission of building more homes. ReStores also help the environment by rechanneling good, usable materials into use.

FUN FACT:
In 2011, the three ReStore locations combined sold 3 million pounds of materials. Much of this material would have otherwise gone to the landfill.

Companies, both large and small, can donate overstocked, outdated, returned, and discounted merchandise as well as products from buy-back programs to our ReStores to be resold at a discount to the general public.
Why sell this product to liquidators when your donation can make a maximum difference to families in need. For the company who donates, it provides a tax break, and in many cases, saves them from having to pay someone to haul it off. On a bigger scale, it saves endless amounts of perfectly useable items from our landfills.
