Continuing a Legacy of Service
The Autumn Rupkey Memorial Build honors the life and legacy of Autumn Rupkey, former Marketing Coordinator for Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity. Throughout her years of service with Habitat, Autumn was a passionate advocate for affordable housing, a gifted storyteller, and a dedicated champion for the families and communities Habitat serves. Her warmth, creativity, and commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
In 2020, Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity established the annual memorial build to celebrate Autumn's life and continue the mission she cared so deeply about. Today, Trinity Habitat for Humanity is honored to carry this tradition forward in Fort Worth. Building not only homes, but also hope, opportunity, and lasting community. Through each wall raised and each family served, Autumn's legacy continues to inspire the work of Habitat and the people who make it possible.

6th Annual Autumn Rupkey Memorial Build
On September 12, 2026, family, friends, and volunteers will come together for the 6th Annual Autumn Rupkey Memorial Build. The first five memorial builds were held with Des Moines Habitat for Humanity, and this year, Trinity Habitat for Humanity is honored to welcome this incredible group of volunteers to Fort Worth, Texas.
Together, we will continue a cherished tradition that celebrates Autumn's creativity, kindness, and unwavering commitment to serving others. What began as a tribute has become a tradition, bringing people together each year to build strength, stability, and hope alongside a future homeowner.
As we raise walls and build alongside a future homeowner, we also carry forward the kindness, compassion, and spirit that Autumn shared throughout her life. We invite you to join us for this meaningful day of service, remembrance, and impact as we honor a legacy that continues to make a difference in others' lives.

Autumn Rupkey Memorial Fund
Thanks to the generosity of the Rupkey family, donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000, during this year's North Texas Giving Day campaign.
While the official North Texas Giving Day giving period opens on August 27, supporters don't have to wait to make a difference. Trinity Habitat's fundraising platform is open year-round, making it never too early to contribute and help us move closer to this year's $50,000 fundraising goal.
This year's giving campaign carries special significance. North Texas Giving Day takes place on September 17, just five days after the Memorial Build and Autumn's birthday, creating a meaningful opportunity to celebrate her life through generosity and service.
